Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are

TrilogyBuilds is a paving and landscaping business operating in Perth, Western Australia, servicing Butler to Rockingham, Perth WA. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and in the course of quoting and carrying out work.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote and do the work:

  • Contact details you give us through the contact or quote forms: name, email address, phone number and suburb.
  • Project details you choose to tell us: the type of job, approximate size, site conditions and any photos you send.
  • Site and job records created while we quote and work: the address of the job, measurements, and photographs of the site before, during and after.
  • Basic technical information your browser sends when you visit, such as device type and the pages you viewed.

We do not collect government identifiers, and we do not ask for payment card details through this website.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
  • arrange a site visit and carry out the work;
  • invoice you and keep the records a business is required to keep;
  • answer questions about work we have already done for you.

We may use photographs of completed work to show examples of what we do. These never include your name or address unless you have told us in writing that we may use them.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is needed to do the job or where the law requires it:

  • Suppliers and subcontractors working on your project, and only the details they need, such as the site address and access arrangements.
  • Service providers that run our website hosting and email. Some of these operate servers outside Australia, which means your information may be stored overseas.
  • Government agencies or courts where we are required to disclose information by law.

Cookies and measurement

This website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Where website analytics is enabled, we use it only to understand which pages people find useful, in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. You can block cookies in your browser settings without losing access to anything on this site.

Keeping it secure

Information submitted through this website is sent over an encrypted connection. Enquiries arrive in a business email account protected by a password and two-step verification, and access is limited to the people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for up to 2 years, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.

Records relating to work we have carried out, including quotes and invoices, are kept for at least 7 years to meet Australian tax and business record-keeping obligations.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@trilogybuilds.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.

There is no charge for asking. We may need to verify who you are before releasing information.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at info@trilogybuilds.com.au or 0466 286 254. We will investigate and reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be noted on this page.
